Kevin Miranda of Sacramento on Friday established a Camanche Lake record by landing an 18.17 pound largemouth bass.

Miranda was casting a River2Sea V-joint crank bait S-110 deep drive lure in the vicinity of Little Hat Island.

The bass was 31 inches long and had a 24-inch girth. The fish shattered the previous record by nearly three pounds.

The California record largemouth was caught in 1991 from Castaic Lake and weighed 22.6 pounds.
