There were plenty of big fish caught last week, although not enough if you didn’t find one at the end of your line. Here are some of the top catches reported in the past week that made the NorCal.FishReports.com Honor Roll.


At Lake Amador, the biggest bass of the week was an 8.8 pounder landed by Robert Foyle of Pine Grove. It was fooled with a plastic worm at Cat Cove.


Lake Camanche turned out large trout, catfish and crappie. Biggest trout was a 10.39 pounder from the South Shore Pond. A 17.1 pound cat was landed by a bass angler using worms near the dam. Don Swim caught a 2.71 pound crappie.


Collins Lake produced a 10 pound bass caught and released by Tom Ives, and numerous large trout. Biggest trout was a 7.8 pounder caught by the Liske family of Meadow Vista. Ricky and Gail Adams of Yuba City hooked a 7.4 pounder trolling under the power line. Frank and Susan Morioto had a 7 pound rainbow. David Bunting caught a 6.5 pound trout. Hannah Milam of Marysville hooked a 6.5 pounder from the Swim Beach. Hunter Sinkl of Sonoma County Harversters landed a 6.5 pound trout with greem Power Bait.


Wilson DeLaCruz had a productive day at Contra Loma, landing an 8 pound trout and a 7.10 pounder, too. Danny Salvador caught a 5.14 pounder with Mice Tails and Jason Komperda hit a 5.3 with Mice Tails.


Del Valle turned out three 10-pound plus rainbows this week. Danny Hollis caught the biggest, a 14.85 pounder using a Luckycraft jerk bait in Swallow Bay. Nikki Paragili of Fresno landed a 13 pounder using a broken-back Rapala near the dam. Robert Bryan of Modesto used a Rapala in the soouth end to catch a 10.31 pounder. Richard Reeser caught an 8.62 with green Power Bait in the south end and Anthony Grijalva of San Jose caught a 6.12 pound trout with a jig off Hetch Hetchy Beach. Biggest striper was a 16 pounder by Josh Alvarado of Tracy with a Rat-L-Trap.


Allen Throolin was trolling when he caught a 23.37 pound catfish at San Pabloe Reservoir. Biggest trout of the week at San Pablo Reservoir was a 13.79 caught by Chris Kennedy of San Jose with Power Bait near the mouth of Scow Canyon. Rocky Nagano of Concord also used Power Bait to catch a 9.16 pounder at Sandy Point.


Coselli Richardson weighed in the big fish of the week from New Melones, a 13.5 pound catfish.


Mike Nichols was trolling with a spinner at Pardee and landed a 7 pound German brown trout.


Pyramid Lake in Nevada continues to churn out monster cutthroat. Two shore anglers led the big fish parade this week. Kris Nickelsen of Sparks caught a 20.1 pounder fly fishing from shore near the nets. Jeff Morris caught an 18 pounder from shore at the nets, too.
Young Alex of San Ramon was casting a lure from the Stanley shoreline at Shadow Cliffs when he dragged in a 17.9 pound trout.


Big halibut are moving into San Pablo and San Francisco Bay. Danny Sinkay caught a 22 pounder near Red Rock to move into second place in the annual Lord of the Sea fishing derby being held out of Loch Lomond Marina.
